THE PROMISE OF THE IRON BREAKER
THE PROMISE OF THE IRON BREAKER
The LORD GOD is an iron breaker. Iron of life are the difficult things of life, tough situations, seemingly impossible conditions that resists human efforts.
God of heaven handles such matters conclusively, and brings them into captivity to the obedience of the Word of the King. The most powerful word of the King of kings carries unimaginable power that cannot be hindered no matter what.
Life can present situations that appear as hard as iron—impenetrable problems, generational bondage, spiritual strongholds, prolonged stagnation, or impossible mountains. But the promises of God are not weak, empty words; they carry divine power to break every "iron" resistance. God is the Iron Breaker—the One who shatters gates of brass, cuts through bars of iron, and makes the crooked paths straight
God’s Word Is a Hammer that Breaks the Hardest Resistance
“Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
Jeremiah 23:29 (NIV)
The promises of God are not mere poetic expressions; they are forceful, active, and powerful to break the hardest hearts, the most difficult situations, and the strongest demonic resistance. When declared and believed, God's word becomes a hammer that breaks iron-like opposition.
God Breaks the Gates of Bronze and Bars of Iron
“I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2 (NIV)
The promises are sure to all who identified with God , surrendered to His Lordship through our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, trusted and believed his word.
UNFAILING WORDS OF PROMISE
These are his unfailing words of promise made by the Iron breaker Himself:
[2]I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
[3]And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel."
BELIEVING IS SEEING
Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."
You may be facing iron gates of delay, oppositions, challenges. But the promises of God carry the power to break them all. Trust His Word. Speak His Word. Stand on His Word.
God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). The words of God are sure, unfailing, and eternally reliable. Every promise He has made is backed by His unchangeable character and unfailing power. Heaven and earth may pass away, but His Word stands forever (Matthew 24:35).
GOD’S PROMISES ARE SURE AND RELIABLE
Scripture: “For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
Explanation: God’s promises are guaranteed through Jesus Christ. They are not "maybe" or "perhaps"—they are firm, certain, and dependable.
Illustration: Abraham believed God’s promise even when all natural hope was gone (Romans 4:20-21).
GOD’S WORD NEVER FAILS
Scripture: “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please…” – Isaiah 55:11
Explanation: Every word God speaks is a seed destined to produce. His promises are not empty words, they carry power to bring themselves to pass.
Example: God’s word to Sarah brought Isaac even in old age (Genesis 21:1-2).
GOD’S PROMISES GIVES HOPE AND STRENGTH
Scripture: “…that through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” – Romans 15:4
Explanation: When we hold on to God’s promises, we are filled with hope, courage, and strength to endure challenges.
Application: Use the promises of God as weapons in spiritual warfare and shields in times of distress (Psalm 119:50).
EXAMPLES OF UNFAILING PROMISES IN SCRIPTURE
Protection: “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper…” – Isaiah 54:17
Provision: “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” – Philippians 4:19
Presence: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5
Peace: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee…” – Isaiah 26:3
Power: “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” – Acts 1:8
CONDITIONS TO RECEIVE THE PROMISES
Faith: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him…” – Hebrews 11:6
Obedience: “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” – Isaiah 1:19
Patience: “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” – Hebrews 6:12
GOD WATCHES OVER HIS WORD TO PERFORM IT
Scripture: “…I will hasten my word to perform it.” – Jeremiah 1:12
Explanation: God does not forget what He has spoken. He is actively watching, ensuring His word is fulfilled in due time.
Conclusion:
The unfailing words of promise are your inheritance as a child of God. Don’t waver. Don’t doubt. Stand firm in faith. God’s word cannot fail, it is forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).
Cling to it. Declare it. Walk in the assurance that what He has promised, He will surely perform.
