Skills are given and is still being released to the sons of men for dominion and service to God which is his purpose for man.
We honour God when we voluntarily fit into his purpose by doing things that brings him pleasure and glory:
Revelation 4:11 KJV
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Genesis 1:26-29 KJV
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
[27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Ab initio human being were blessed and empowered by God to do exploits on the surface of the earth, to take charge, that is to "subdue the earth and have dominion" hence all the inventions and creative innovation in various areas of human endeavor, in science, art and technology, in education, agriculture, sports,,..
God's perfect will is that man should positively take charge of the earth under His Leadership, guidance and inspiration:
WHERE INSPIRATION COMES
Inspirations come from God. The wisdom he gave to human beings are the results of all the wonders of the earth in various disciplines and fields of life.
It's written
Job 32:8 KJV
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
Note, "Almighty giveth them understanding," this means He continues to give men and women understanding none stop as long as humans are on earth God continues to inspire people. We are mandated to remain under His governance for us to have the best of life.
It's written:
Psalm 22:28 KJV
For the kingdom is the Lord's : and he is the governor among the nations."
CHANGE OF LEVELS
For the fact that the kingdom is of the Lord and he is the governor among the nations of the earth, it is incumbent upon us to willingly and absolutely surrender to God's authority for better versions of us to emerge on a daily basis. As we interact with God through spiritual exercises we are changed into His excellent image from one level of glory to another level.
2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
We are instructed to get acquainted with God, to draw nearer to Him for greater heights, greater understanding and knowledge, for greater inspirations and skills, through interaction with Him in prayers, study, reading his word, meditations, listening to inspired gospel messages, songs, and other spiritual exercises.
DOORS OF INSPIRATIONS ARE OPENED
GET ACQUAINTED WITH GOD.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
[22] Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
