CHOSEN AND CALLED FOR GOD'S GLORY AND PRAISE
CHOSEN AND CALLED FOR GOD'S GLORY AND PRAISE
https://richesinminds.blogspot.com
One of the most powerful truths in Scripture is that God has chosen and called us, not because of our strength, background, or merit, but because of His love and divine purposes: that we may bring glory and praise to His name. As believers, we are divinely handpicked, ordained, empowered and commissioned. We are set apart, divinely selected, and graciously appointed to live lives that reflect His greatness.
[7]Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
[21]This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
CHOSEN AND CALLED TO SHOWCASE GODS POWER AND GLORY:
[9]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"
Believers in Christ, the redeemed of the LORD have been chosen and called into God's glorious Kingdom.
This is not a self-improvement project but a supernatural extraction from a domain of decay into a realm of life of God.
We are called into glory as ambassadors to bring about Gods praise and glory on earth. Translated from darkness into God's marvellous light to lighten the world as lights of the world.
Nobody can give what he has not received.
Christianity is not mere adherents to a religion, we have undergone a radical change in status, allegiance and purpose.
We are carriers of glory. Christ is for us, with us and in us.
The glory we received at regeneration when we believed, repented and surrendered to Christ to be our Lord and saviour."
Jesus said in:
[22]And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:"
2 Corinthians 3:18
[18]But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Peter 1:3
[3]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"
[12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Christians, having received the glorious gospel, are ordained as vessels through which God is glorified on earth, to reflect God's beauty and splendor, to showcase his glory, power, knowledge, wisdom and understanding, to reconcile people to God.
Glory in our context is a distinct quality from God worthy of admiration.
It is Gods divine nature. The heavenly aroma of God's presence, His attributes. It is Heavens beauty and splendor, a reflection of our Lord and Master. Gods kingdom within us. The God in us.
It is proper and enough for disciples to resemble their Master (Matthew 10:25)
We have been called into His Kingdom and are NOW partakers of His divine nature.
[4]Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
SHOWCASING, BRINGING ABOUT GOD'S PRAISE AND GLORY:
THE DIVINE MANDATE
Christians are partakers and partners with God in His business of reconciling the world to Himself.
We have received a divine mandate.
We should live by precepts and practice, sharing and proclaiming the transformative gospel.
The Greek word for "proclaim" is exangeilēte, which means to declare, to publish, to tell forth, to advertise. Our new identity as called and chosen ones comes with a divine mandate.
We are to reflect God on earth, shining as light in this world of darkness, attracting others to God.
The Christian life, therefore, is not a secret affair. It is a public declaration.
Nobody serves God in isolation or in hiding.
Service to humanity is service to God.
We have been rescued from the deepest darkness and brought into the most brilliant light for a reason: to be living, breathing advertisements for the excellencies of our King of kings and LORD of lords. Our very existence is meant to be a doxology, pointing a watching world to the only One who can call them out of their own darkness into His marvelous light.
Our character, service, love, and spiritual impact should point others to God, causing them to turn to God and to glorify Him.
1 Peter 2:9
[9]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"
[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
[15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
We are chosen empowered to bear fruit, lasting fruit that brings glory to the Father.
[16]Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
DO ALL TO GOD'S GLORY
We should focus on doing things to the glory of God. Things that will bring praise, honour and glory to God alone.
This is the singular reason we were called and chosen of God.
John 15:16
[16]Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Nobody should take the praises to himself or herself.
To God alone be all praises, worship, exaltation and glorification. Christians should never at any point seek glorification and praises which are exclusively reserved for God because He cannot share it with anyone.
1 Timothy 1:17
[17]Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen."
God’s call is not temporary. It is eternal, and it carries divine weight.
1 Corinthians 10:31
[31]Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Therefore whatever you do in thoughts, words and actions, do all to the glory of God.
Are you living for the glory of God?
Have you recognized and embraced His call upon your life?
Today is the day to surrender to His purpose.
I Love You.
