HOW TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS
Life is a blessing, it's a gift from God. We are blessings from God, and have received this blessing of life to fulfil divine purposes. We as blessings can really give from what we have, because nobody can give what he or she doesn't have.
THE FIRST STEP
1. KNOWLEDGE
KNOW THIS FACT.
One cannot violet divine principles and still be a blessing to others.
The first step to becoming a blessing to other is the knowledge and understanding of who you are, the fact that you are a blessing and the life you have is a gift and a blessing from Almighty King.
God gave you the gift of life. To live the life of abundance, that is the reason for the beautiful creatures and treasures you see around you.
James 1:17 KJV
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
Having understood the fact that you are a blessing. You must appreciate the fact and be excited about it.
2. BE EXCITED ABOUT YOURSELF
Psalm 139:14 KJV "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
Be excited that you are a blessing from God, you came from Him, He brought you into this world as a blessing.
Your life is a gift, a blessing from God. This beautiful blessing of life He gave to you is to make you rich without adding sorrow that spoils the beauty of life.
Proverbs 10:22 KJV "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."
One cannot have the best of what God had already given us when the person believes in blessings mixed with sorrow.
3. SUBMISSION TO ETERNAL PURPOSE
Having recognized and acknowledged the fact that you are a blessing. To fulfil your destiny you must align yourself with divine purpose, by willingly submission. Humility leads to exaltation.
Submit yourself to God through His only begotten son Jesus Christ, dedicate your life to the giver of life and have the best of life in abundance.
James 4:7 KJV
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Job 22:23-25 KJV
"If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles."
[24] "Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks."
[25]" Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver."
Jesus Christ said:
John 10:10 KJV
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
His purpose is to give us life in abundance for us to become a blessing and be a blessing to others.
His desire and purpose for us to have the best of life now and for eternity cannot be actualized except we identify with Him and His word.
The real you is the you, you are when you willingly submit to the authority of the Almighty, because He has your A-Z your original manual.
4. LOVE YOURSELF
Bear in mind that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. A creature in the creators image. If God loves you, and as a result sent a saviour in this world to pay the price for your salvation. You should start by giving yourself all the love you needed because you cannot love others more than you love yourself.
If you don't appreciate yourself you cannot appreciate or love others around you. Appreciate yourself with great appreciation, be joyful, be glad and rejoice with this spotless gift of life you received from the Almighty. You have got a superior gift from a superior God. That gift is you. God is a master piece producers. He has no inferior or imitations products in his stocks.
Mark 12:31 KJV
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
5. DECISION
DECIDE TO BE A BLESSING.
Decide to be a blessing. Seeing that you are a blessing let blessings flow from you to others from the treasure of life inside you.
You can easily give from what you have if you decide to do so. We are actually products of our decisions.
Decisions to do the needful are readily taken when there are willingness of the minds.
1 Timothy 6:18 KJV "That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;"
6. ACTIONS OF BLESSINGS.
DO THEM.
John 13:17 KJV
"If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them."
The Almighty God did not create the earth and abandon it. He is the Governor among the nations.
Psalm 22:28 KJV
For the kingdom is the Lord's : and he is the governor among the nations."
The LORD governs the world in righteousness, He placed on earth His operational infallible law of sowing and reaping.
Galatians 6:7 KJV
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
IF there is a will, definitely there must be a way. If you have taken the decision to be a blessing to yourself and to others.
The giver of seeds to sow definitely will supply to you the seeds to continue to sow because He, God is infinite in knowledge and understanding and He searches and understands every person's intention.
If you have taken the decision, start immediately, begin to bless others by mercy, kindness, love, compassion, giving, encouragement, forgiveness, reconciliation, being patient, positive, peaceful, prayerful, generous, diligent industrious , enterprising, faithful, sincere and honest etc
7. START TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
Kill procrastination.
Procrastination is the thief of time and blessings. Putting off what should be done today for tomorrow has always been the enemy of mankind . Look around you for a need and supply them. See those problems around you and solve them. As you engage yourself in this business of providing help for the needy more resources would be supplied to you which cannot run dry.
You cannot remain the same again your level must definitely change.
2 Corinthians 9:9-11 KJV
(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
[10] Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
[11] Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
Your seed sowed are multiplied. The more you sow the more you increase. No matter your level there are always room for multiplications.
8. DILIGENCE RULES THE WORLD.
God is a diligent God, creations testify of His handiworks. Be diligent in keeping to rules of becoming a blessing to your generation. Rule and reign with God by being diligent in this noble cause.
Proverbs 12:24 KJV
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Proverbs 10:4 KJV
"He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich."
Proverbs 13:4 KJV
"The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat."
Proverbs 22:29 KJV
"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."
Be diligent, work, labour according to proven and workable principles, success and prosperity would definitely embrace you.
9. LIBERAL LABOURER
KEEP AWAY FROM ERROR.
Be a liberal labourer.
Keep your mind in the inspired truth of the scriptures. Many are in error of keeping all they laboured to themselves, for one reason or the other.
Ephesians 4:28 KJV
" Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth."
..let him labour... that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Many jettison acts of liberality, shut their bowels of mercy and keep to themselves because they feel, think or say :
It's my sweat.
It's my hard earned money.
I suffered for it.
Do you know what I suffered
to get to this level? etc
It's my labour.
Naturally people are attracted to successful and prospering people, ours should not be exceptions.
Proverbs 19:4 KJV
"Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour."
It's true we all laboured to be in the positions we are occupying, yet it was God working and still working for us behind the curtain.
You are what you are by the grace given to you by God.
1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
I believe there is no self-made person. Nobody succeeds alone. Whatsoever a person had built, someone first builded the person.
Hebrews 3:4 KJV
For every house is builded by some man ; but he that built all things is God.
If anybody gives from the proceeds of his or her labour, it is a sacrifice to God.
10. CARVE OUT YOUR OWN NICHE
AVOID LAZINESS AND IDLENESS.
Inspirations for exploits are limitless many waste their precious life: time, strength, in envy, jealousy, laziness, idleness and imitation, people should carve out niches for themselves and grow progressively.
START SOMETHING
There are many things to be done, one may start small and increase. Idleness brings poverty. Excuse makers are always poor.
People who refuses to take responsibilities are always in penury.
Proverbs 19:15 KJV
"Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger."
2 Thessalonians 3:10 KJV
"For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."
11. POWER OF SACRIFICE
Sacrifices speaks powerfully for the sacrificer. To give is to sacrifice.
God freely gave us His only begotten son, who came and died for the sins of people in the world so that whosoever believes and accepts his son shall not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
With One powerful sacrifice God provided solutions for man's age long problems, today the whole world are attracted to our Lord and Master Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 10:12-14 KJV
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
[13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Sacrifices speaks and pays. Check down the history lane, men and women of sacrifice are always outstandingly great and mighty people of exploits.
They sacrificed their time and valuable resources for the betterment of humanity and to the glory of God.
Such people cannot be poor.
Good deeds are sacrifices, which should be offered with a good heart and good intentions devoid of ulterior motives, self aggrandizement, self exaltation or self promotions. The Lord promotes sacrificers by Himself not by them trying to gain cheap popularity.
Matthew 6:4 KJV
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Psalm 4:5 KJV
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
Sacrifice to humanity is sacrifice to God. Any good thing you do any good action you take is a sacrifice that must speak for you. The rewards are certain.

"But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

[7]" Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
[8] "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
[9] "(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever."

As you take these bold steps and continue, you will remain a blessing to your generation.
