CELEBRATION OF VICTORY
CELEBRATING VICTORY
These were the very words I heard, whispered into my spiritual ears of understanding, early this morning of Wednesday 18th Jan.2023.
Celebration is a natural expression of joy, gratitude, and victory. As Christians, our celebration is not rooted in worldly pleasures but in divine truths and spiritual realities. We celebrate because of what God has done for us, is doing for us, and will yet do for us through Christ our Lord and master. This celebration is not seasonal. It is continual and purposeful.
I decree and declare you will celebrate victory with understanding in Jesus name!
Read to the end:
Luke 10:17-24 KJV
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
[18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
[19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
[21] In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
[22] All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
[23] And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
[24] For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them ; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Jesus knowing that there are much to be harvested but the labourers are few, appointed additional seventy disciples and gave them specific instructions which majorly includes preaching the message of salvation, (that the kingdom of God is here with us) and healing the sick.
Luke 10:9 KJV
"And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."
As they got busy with the masters assignment they discovered that they had power over the devils (the devils were subject unto them).
The devils couldn't stand them.
It was an aha experience, a discovery made in the field of service. They came back celebrating their victory over the devils.
The master, I believe want them to discover it by themselves first, before nailing the point.
Luke 10:17-20 KJV
"And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
[18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
[19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."
The master didn't give them all the details, had it been he told them, they wouldn't have come back reporting of their experiences as a discovery.
There were devils or demonic manifestations as they went preaching and healing the sick.
There are things the Lord would allow his children to discover for themselves as they continue in his word, the Spirit will guide them into all truth, as they ask, seek and knock etc.
John 16:12-13 KJV
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."
Matthew 7:7-8 KJV
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
[8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
I see you reader of this writing celebrate as the LORD enlightens more and more your eyes of understanding.
THE CAUSE OF CELEBRATION
As they came back to Jesus with good report, rejoicing of their escapades, the master redirected their minds to the utmost reasons they should actually rejoice and celebrate.
The reason they were rejoicing and celebrating was totally different from the reason the master himself was rejoicing:
Luke 10:20-21 KJV
"Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
[21] In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight."
The Lord is much more interested in your spiritual well being than your service for Him and humanity. The service you are rendering to God and humanity should not take the place of your relationship with him (your name in the book of the redeemed in heaven) and your love for him.
Jesus rejoiced in Spirit because he saw his disciples, people saved by grace. People who like babes have accepted the revealed truth of the gospel, people who believed in him, who knew he is Christ the saviour of the world, people who have accepted him in love as their Lord and saviour. He saw people walking in freedom, liberated and redeemed.
He saw them, his own people that have understood the truth.
People emancipated from the power of sin and satan. People who have repented from their sins and have accepted the true gospel of the kingdom, the gospel of love, gospel of peace from him their master Jesus Christ the saviour of the world.
People whose names are written in heaven, in the book of life. VICTORIOUS PEOPLE.
Jesus seeing beyond the physical, directed them on what they should actually rejoice and celebrate for.
As regards the matter in question, they shouldn't rejoice for any other reason than the aforementioned.
What then should be our priority, the utmost cause for our celebrations, above any other celebrations?.
Other legitimate celebrations don't last forever. The one the master advocated lasts forever.
If the LORD Himself is not rejoicing because your own name is in the book of life, that means you have not done the needful yet, to make him rejoice. The master is waiting for you.
What are you waiting for?
Is your name written in heaven?
If it is not, then do the needful.
The ball is in your court!
Romans 10:9 KJV
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13 KJV
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 1:12 KJV
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
Luke 10:20 KJV
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Let's Rejoice and Celebrate Victory together as advocated by Jesus if you have embraced the gospel, if you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and saviour.
Philippians 4:4
"Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."
The Lord is rejoicing over you with singing!
Glory!!!
Zephaniah 3:17 KJV
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."
#Godrejoiceoverthee
Alleluia!!
